Text Fraud/ Spoofing

What You Need to Know

Tucson Federal Credit Union has been made aware that fraudulent messages are being made to our membership from imposters who are NOT TFCU employees or authorized on behalf of TFCU. Criminals are stating there is unusual activity and to click a link to dispute the transaction.

If you receive this message, please do not respond to the request or click on the link.

TFCU WILL occasionally send text messages if a fraudulent charge is suspected, but we will provide more detailed information and WILL NOT include a link to dispute the charge, and instead provide the phone number to call to process the dispute.

Please reference the graphic below as an example.

TFCU will occasionally call members to verify transactions; however, it is important to know that we will not ask for confidential information, including banking credentials, Social Security Number, or date of birth.
