Do you need a Will or a Trust? And what’s the difference?

Do you need a Will or a Trust? And what’s the difference?

Estate planning is important, and with our busy lives, it’s something that is easy to put off until later.

If you’ve got a family, pets or assets and you want a say in how they are taken care of should something happen to you, then you need an estate plan.

More often than not, when I ask parents if they have a Will, their answer is “no”.

TFCU has resources that can help you understand more about estate planning on our website HERE (30% Off Estate Planning – Tucson Federal Credit Union)

It’s important to have your affairs in order to help protect your wishes if you were to die.  It also shows you care for those you leave behind. A Will provides guidance so they will be able to honor your wishes.  A Will helps your family grieve and gives them guidance for your assets and personal possessions.  And most importantly, it will protect your children.

Estate planning is personal and can involve a lot of decisions. Over the years I have seen situations that could have been prevented if good plans had been put in place.  In my conversations with those I coach, I’ve had the opportunity to help people understand the importance of an estate plan.

Not only is an estate plan important but also having a good financial plan.  If you’d like to meet, click HERE to schedule your personal financial coaching session.
