What is Shared Branching?
Shared Branching allows other credit union members to use our branches to do transactions and our members to do transactions at other credit unions.
Why is TFCU canceling Shared Branching?
TFCU has invested in online and mobile technology for the convenience of our members and believe that this technology can substitute for many of Shared Branching’s services. They are more widely used at a lower cost to TFCU. Shared Branching is very expensive and is utilized by a small percentage of members. It also increases the potential for fraud by non-members who use TFCU for Shared Branching and wait times for our members in the teller line.
